Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS
How the Program Works
The Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program assists income-eligible persons diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. It creates and supports access to affordable housing, helping clients maintain a stable living environment and reduce homelessness by offering assistance with rent, mortgage, and utilities. Other goals of the HOPWA Program include improving access to health care and other supportive services. Applicant must bring proof of income, picture ID, and Social Security card for everyone in the household. Assistance is contingent upon the availability of funding.
