What is the Solid Waste Program?

The City-Parish implemented a Residential Solid Waste (Garbage, trash, and/or recyclable materials that require collection and disposal) User Fee Assistance Program 2008 for low-income residents.

The current fee is $35.23. Residents who meet federal eligibility requirements for energy assistance can receive a monthly discount of $4.50 on the solid waste user fee, paying only $30.73.
